A Colorado Springs resident’s hidden camera caught an EMT stealing her pain medication. The woman told reporters that she had set up the hidden camera in her bedroom after a robbery had occurred in her home. It seems like her hidden camera really came in handy for her.
But the whole thing started when an ambulance had picked her up to transport her to the hospital after she dialed 911. After returning home, she noticed that one of her medication bottles had gone missing.
After tirelessly searching for the missing meds, she decided to check the footage on her hidden camera. The footage revealed that after loading her onto the ambulance, one of the paramedics returned to the woman’s bedroom, where he is seen going through her assortment of pills and pocketing her painkillers known as Vicodin.
The paramedic, who was terminated after the incident, plead guilty to theft and was sentenced to 50 hours of community service. He was also required to attend a class called “Making Better Choices” and write an apology letter to the victim.
